Personal, social and emotional development(PSED) supports children to learn to get on with others and make friends, understand and talk about feelings, learn about 'right' and 'wrong', develop independence and ultimately feel good about themselves.
Children's early PSED has a huge impact on their later well-being, learning achievements and economic success too. So to help you support children in your early years settings, we've put together the following:
- Self regulation
- Managing Self
- Building Relationships
Language is a natural system of communication that a group of people use to express thoughts, feelings, ideas-to talk about themselves and the world. Language can be spoken, like English, or signed, like American Sign Language(ASL)
Literacy is usually thought of as the ability to read and write. However, there is more to it than that. To be literate means, "to be educated or cultured" and literacy is "having or showing extensive knowledge, experience or culture". A literate person is able to participate fully in society- more than simply being able to read and write, a literate person can fulfill social, civic, and economic roles.
We provide the exposure and hands-on experience on developmentally appropriate concepts of knowledge and skills that correspond to counting; spatial sense; patterns and estimations in measurements. The early learning stage covers the skills related to sequential thinking, critical thinking, observing, reasoning and problem-solving. Kids Park children showcase the following learning....
• Establish and lead a dialogue and conversation with children and adults.
• Actively listen to and understand the ideas and information from different media.
• Express and communicate one's own thoughts, opinions.
• Reproduce announcements,texts.
• Select adequate, creative way of communication with regards to the situation.
• Communicate his or her acquired knowledge,- shows pre-reading literacy.
We identify what is the child's penchant quests are groom their into performing arts and creativity. Expressive arts involves enabling children to explore and play with a wide range of materials, as well as providing opportunities and encouragement for sharing their thoughts, ideas, and feelings through a variety of activities. Exploring different art forms, develop dispositons, expression, and appreciation for art, dance/ drama and musical activities. Every child at Kids Park will learn to.
• Apply own imagination in problem-solving.
• Find uncommon answers or solutions.
• Discover and finds functionality of things, fantasies or thoughts, realize their changes.
• Discover the algorithm for problem-solving by trial and error, or according to given instructions, removes the potential error.
• Participating in performing-arts programs helps students develop a stronger sense of individualism, self-reflection and self-esteem. Participating in thse activities helps them to learn to commit to a task; prepare themselves emotionally, physically and mentally; and work toward the goals of mastering and sharing their skills. For example, musicians must commit to an individual practice schedule to aim for a successful concert, while actors must tap into the particular experiences of their characters to achieve a relistuc performance on stage. As they engage with these skills, students learn to critique their abilities, recognize their strengths and weaknesses and make plans to acquire new skills
• Motor Skills involve Fine Motor and Gross motor activities. Our focus on physical development involves providing opportunities for young children to be active and develop their co-ordination, control, and movement. Gross motor skills activities ensure coordination of fine muscles with dexterity;eye-hand coordination; a sense of balance, physical coordination, and awareness of space and direction, nutrition, health status and practices.
